INDIA

Although the U.S. dollar is stronger than the India Rupees, many of India’s important monuments and historical sights charge admission fees. These admission fees, unfortunately, are much higher for foreigners and can cause tourists to spend more than they were expecting to. Instead, here are five free things to do while visiting India.
  • Enjoy a festival- there are numerous festivals held throughout the year which offer visitors a fun way to learn and see Indian culture.
  • Relax on the beach- the best Indian beaches are found on the west coast. Here the beaches are picturesque and popular. The most popular beaches are in Goa.
  • Observe the architecture- Several parts of ancient abandoned cities are free to enter such as Hampi and Mandu. Also visit Mumbai and see the huge colonial architecture, such as the Prince of Wales Museum.

With these free activities, tourists can enjoy of India’s culture while spending very little money.
